As simple as 1, 2, 3...

We know you’re excited to see your pottery masterpiece! Our standard turnaround time is 10-14 days, so keep that in mind if you need it by a specific date, especially at busy times such as Christmas! Wait times can be longer at very busy times!

Haven’t heard from us within 14 days? then give us a quick call as your text may not have sent, we can verify if your pottery is ready!

We’ll hold onto your finished piece for 4 months, sending you a friendly reminder after 2 months and again a week before the deadline. After that, we’ll have to say goodbye due to limited space. But don’t worry, we’ll do everything we can to reach you before then, especially if your pottery has precious baby prints!

We hate to see your creations go, so please pick them up within 4 months.

And before you leave, don’t forget to book your next session! We can’t wait to see what you’ll create!

Ever wondered about the process? Well, here it is….

1.

After you’re done making your pottery awesome, we let it dry for at least a day. This helps keep those annoying little pit-holes from messing up your masterpiece!

2.

Once your pottery is dry, we give it a dip in a clear glaze and let it dry again for at least another day. This is the secret to making your pieces super shiny!

3.

The next day, we get your pottery ready for its fiery kiln adventure! We carefully clean the bottom of each piece, removing any glaze and checking for any little imperfections. This is super important because we don’t want your pottery sticking to the kiln shelf (yikes!) or ending up with a bad finish. Of course, with over 100 pieces per load, we’re only human, and sometimes a tiny thing might slip by!

4.

Time to load up the kilns! We’ve got two big ones in our workshop that can hold over 100 pieces each. We carefully stack your pottery inside, making sure nothing touches (or they’ll fuse together!). But hey, that’s how we attach numbers to door plaques and toppers to trinket lids so they stay put! We usually have enough glazed pottery to fill a kiln to the max, with a few extras waiting for their turn. Sadly, we can’t fire both kilns at once – too much power! But we get the second one loaded and ready to go as soon as the first one’s done.

5.

Your pottery hangs out in the kiln for about two days, getting fired up to over 1000c degrees! The firing itself takes around 8 hours (that’s when we can switch on the second kiln if it’s loaded), and then we have to wait a long time for the pottery to cool down enough to touch. Once it’s cool, we unload everything!

6.

Now we get to see your awesome creations in all their shiny glory! We give each piece a good once-over, remove any little marks from the stands (if needed), and add any extras like handles, cork bottoms, or clock parts. Then, we play matchmaker, reuniting each piece with its owner using our notes. Once everything’s matched up, we carefully wrap each item in tissue paper, bag it up all ready for pickup! We put everything on our collection shelves in alphabetical order so it’s easy to find when you arrive.

Let’s be real, with so much pottery going through our workshop every week, sometimes accidents happen! Nobody’s perfect, right? But we always do our best to fix any boo-boos or replace anything that gets broken or damaged along the way.

Awesome customer service and quality pottery are what we’re all about!

We want you to love your masterpiece!
