FAQs

Do you charge a studio fee?

We do not charge a studio fee! You simply pay for what you choose to paint… we have items from about £8 upwards.

Generally our hours are 10am to 4pm Monday to Sunday but we can accommodate other times for larger groups or events.

Yes we do!

Here is a link to all the details and if you decide you would like to book there is a booking request at the foot of the page.

Our Children’s Party Buffet Boxes are outsourced to a company called “Doing The Rounds”. The items that are in the boxes are aimed at children but with a good percentage of healthy options including, sandwich, fruit, crisps and cupcake etc… You can find a picture of a sample box here on our party page.

Your pottery will be ready for collection from 7-14 days, we will text you when it’s ready. At very busy times such as the run up to Christmas this can be longer. Please refer to our Opening Times Page for any deadline dates.

The “paint” that you use to decorate your pottery is actually underglaze, this needs to have a clear overglaze added and needs to be fired to become fixed and glossy so unfortunately you cannot take your pottery away the same day if you want it to last, the underglaze will rub off when dry.

We can certainly give you some hints & tips and we have many samples around the studio for inspiration but unfortunately our staff are very busy and do not have the time to sit and paint with you… (we wish 😉

Your pottery is in the kiln for two days. Once fully loaded the firing schedule takes approximately 8 hours to reach top temperature which is approximately 1000C… it then stays in the kiln until it is cool enough for us to touch and unload it which takes a further 30-40 hours. We cannot rush this process as your pottery would crack under shock if we opened the kiln to early.

Yes we do. If you have a special project you would like us to complete for you bring all the details into the studio and we will give you a quote. If you wish to proceed full payment is required at time of order.
